    QA Engineer and Technical Writer

    Leírás

💼 Our Partner is a dynamic and innovative company based in Ireland that offers cloud-based streaming and virtual cinema experiences. They build digital platforms for film lovers, event organisers and educational institutions. Join a young, creative team working on exciting projects at the intersection of technology and entertainment.

🔎 We`re on the lookout for a hands-on Software Quality Assurance (QA) Contractor to join our Partner`s team and help them make sure their cloud-based Point of Sale (POS) platform runs like a dream.
You`ll be based out of our Budapest office, working closely with our Partner`s team to test, break (in a good way), and improve our system. There is also the opportunity to work from home for a limited number of days a week.

👉 If you`ve got experience working with cinemas, hospitality, or other POS systems, that`s a big plus — but it’s not a dealbreaker. We’re mainly looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, great communication skills, and a real passion for making software better.

    Tasks:
🐦‍🔥 Writing and running test cases to make sure our POS system performs the way it should
🐦‍🔥 Finding bugs, glitches, and anything that doesn’t look right — and working with the team to fix them
🐦‍🔥 Helping shape our testing processes and making them better over time
🐦‍🔥 Testing across web, tablet, and terminal devices
🐦‍🔥 Logging issues clearly and tracking them through to resolution
🐦‍🔥 Documenting the software processes for our customers
🐦‍🔥 Collaborating daily with the team
🐦‍🔥 Helping out with release testing to keep things smooth when updates go live

    Requirements:
✅ Ongoing higher education in a relevant field
✅ Solid understanding of QA processes, defect tracking, and good testing practices
✅ Comfortable working with cloud-based and SaaS products
✅ Good communicator – someone who can explain technical issues clearly
✅ Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your workload effectively
✅ Keen eye for detail and a curious mindset
    ✅ Advanced English knowledge
✅ Good communicator – someone who can explain technical issues clearly

    What our partner offers:
☀️ Stable and long-term projects in the Cinema sector
    🌍 Worldwide customer base
🔘 Friendly, open, and respectful work environment where your opinion truly matters
⏳ Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home

⏰ Working hours: Flexible working hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, Home Office after training (students schedule their own working time, adapted to their class timetable; evening or weekend work is possible upon prior agreement; Home Office available after the student has shown the necessary aptitude and delivery, and terms are subject to agreement with the team)
