🚗 Our Partner is a software development company specializing in autonomous vehicles. Their primary approach to self-driving technology is camera-based, relying on image processing, while also experimenting with radar and lidar solutions. The company is Hungarian-owned, yet operates with a distinctly American-style, relaxed management culture, works on numerous U.S.-based projects, and offers internal career advancement opportunities.

👁‍🗨 The System Integration team plays a key role in bringing autonomous driving technology to life.

➡️ Our Partner works at the intersection of cutting‑edge software systems, test vehicles, and supporting infrastructure—making sure everything runs flawlessly in real-world conditions. They are looking for a System Integration Engineer Intern who will take part in hands‑on calibration activities and support various software and vehicle integration tasks, while having the opportunity to gain a full, behind‑the‑scenes view of how self‑driving cars actually work.

Tasks:
♥️ Work closely with test and prototype vehicles with different teams across the company
♣️ Install, validate, and verify software components and perform diagnostics and debugging when required
♥️ Perform weekly check-ups of test vehicles with different sensor configurations
♣️ Help prepare test vehicles for daily tests on public roads and proving grounds, datacollection campaigns and demonstrations
♥️ Inspect and calibrate vehicle sensors (cameras, radars, lidars) to ensure correct operation
♣️ Maintain and update the calibration parameter database for different recording scenarios
♥️ Use and test an internal diagnostic software solution to detect issues with vehicle sensors
♣️ Give feedback to development teams on internally developed software tools and processes
♥️ Participate in tests on public roads, create test and calibration recordings and gather measurement data
♣️ Assist in creating small internal tools and scripts to support the team`s daily work

Expectations:
◻️ Ongoing full-time university studies (active/passive) at least one year remaining
◻️ Availability to work 20–25 hours per week at our Budapest office
◻️ Valid driving license with active driving experience
◻️ Solid Linux knowledge, including terminal usage and command-line operations
◻️ Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
◻️ Intermediate-level English knowledge
◻️ Independent and proactive attitude
