🏎️ Our partner is a company that develops software for self-driving cars. They want to implement self-driving cars mainly based on camera-based image processing, and are also experimenting with radar and lidar. Hungarian owned company, but absolutely American style, with a loose management, many American projects, with the possibility to move forward within the company.

Tasks:
💡 Prototype and improve solutions for static environment mapping (lane, stop-line, traffic light, and traffic sign detection)
🧠 Research, develop, implement, and test algorithms for environment perception in self-driving systems
📊 Analyze input and output data distributions and perform benchmarking
📈 Develop new metrics for evaluating self-driving features
🖼️ Implement visualizations for detection errors
🔧 Maintain and improve existing benchmarks and evaluation metrics
🚗 Work with real data from highway and urban driving, and see your code running in real vehicles across multiple continents

Requirements:
📘 Ongoing (active or passive) full-time university studies for at least one more year in Robotics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
🧮 Strong mathematical skills, including linear algebra and probability distributions
🐍 Programming experience in Python and confidence working in Linux environments
🗣️ Intermediate level of English (both written and spoken)
🧠 Ability to work independently and systematically
🎯 Precise, reliable, and quality-focused attitude

⏰ Working hours: Between 08:00-18:00, Home Office also possible 50-50% after training

* If you are over 25 years of age, 15% of your gross salary will be deducted from your PIT. If you are under 25 years old, you will be exempt from PIT, so you can consider your gross salary as net, up to the average wage in the national economy, which is HUF 656,785 per month.
